Our Mission
At Sky Safari, we hope to empower the future generation of learners through Astronomy education. Planetariums, one of the most effective tools for Space education, are often expensive and inaccessible to many. For this reason, we bring a free portable planetarium experience to children located in New Jersey and New York.
So far, we have successfully conducted 20+ sessions over the last year at schools and community centers. We are running sessions at centers such as LSA Family Health Services in East Harlem, NY; Hamilton Public Library in Hamilton, NJ; Sparta Public Library in Sparta, NJ; East Hanover Township Library in East Hanover, NJ; and Kemmerer Library in Harding, NJ.
The universe is everyone's. Today, too many children grow up without ever getting to learn about space. Due to light pollution and inequitable resource access, many grow up without ever gazing up at the stars.
